Wind down FAQ’s

Why is somewhereto_ coming to an end in my region?
  • somewhereto_ is a four-year, grant funded programme which has now come to the end of that period.
  • We want to keep unlocking free space for young people beyond our funding period. In order to achieve this we need to make some changes to the way the service is delivered.
  • We are moving towards creating a sustainable business, piloting in London, then hopefully phasing out across the rest of the UK.

Is somewhereto_ closing?
  • Yes, somewhereto_ in it’s current structure is coming to an end.
  • Although the programme is coming to an end in your region in June, we’re working on a sustainable business model that we will be piloting in London until September.
  • To keep up to date with how it’s going, please visit www.somewhereto.com.

Will I still be able to contact you for free space after 30th June?
  • No, unfortunately the service will no longer be available after the 30th June in all regions outside of London.

Can I contact space-holders directly as I now have a good relationship with them?
No. As somewhereto_ comes to an end in your regions, space-holders will no longer be offering the same service. Please do not directly get in touch with space-holders. They have very generously unlocked their space to somewhereto_ users since 2012 and this service has now come to an end. Space-holders will be focusing on other projects, and won’t be able to take on free bookings.

Who can I talk to if I have more questions?
  • The somewhereto_ central team, based at Livity in London will be on hand until September.
  • If you have any questions you can get in touch with us via info@somewhereto.com.

I hear you will still be delivering in London for 3 months, why?
We are looking to set up somewhereto_ as a commercially successful business, not dependent on funding or more than start-up investment. We are piloting the business model in London, and our vision is to grow it into a stable, growing business, that by 2020, will begin to deliver out of London.

Will somewhereto_ return in the future?
We are looking to set up somewhereto_ as a commercially successful business, not dependent on funding or more than start-up investment. We are piloting the business model in London, and our vision is to grow it into a stable, growing business, that by 2020, will begin to deliver out of London.
