We are very excited to introduce FESTIV_ALT, our Christmas market with a difference!
FESTIV_ALT will be taking place in 5 cities across the UK, each featuring its own mix of market stalls, live performances and art, providing the perfect opportunity for those involved to showcase their talents, products and creativity to an entirely new audience.
Sound like something you can get into? Great! We are inviting 16-25 year olds interested in taking part to sign up and get involved!

Things are kicking off at the end of November and so we wanted to give you a little taste of what’s in store at each event and the people making it all happen:
Becky will be kicking things off in London, bringing Tottenham an alternative Christmas experience. Taking place 27th of November 6-9pm and 28th of November 12-9pm at somewhereto_Tottenham, you can expect, market stalls, music, poetry, comedy and a fantastic opportunity to get to know the local community. Next stop, Brighton! Ashleigh will be putting his own spin on the traditional Christmas lighting ceremony in Jubilee Square on 28th of November from 12pm to 9pm. There’ll also be a World Music choir, art, fashion, market stalls and some audience participation. Let Ashleigh know that you’d like to get involved by signing up to get involved here.
If you’re in the Birmingham area, the Square Shopping Centre will be the pre-Christmas destination on the 5th of December, 12-5pm. Yinka has organised a menagerie of up to 30 market stalls, live music and spoken word, a film screening and a workshop or 2. Nottingham will have it’s very own take on the Christmas festivities brought to you by Ed at the Cobden Chambers on the 5th of December 12-5pm. FESTIV_ALT : Nottingham will have poetry taking over COB Cafe (The Creative Occupations Bureau), free risograph workshops, market stalls, music and a Christmas carol sing along! Amy and Lucy will be taking over Wood Street in Wakefield on the same day from 12pm to 5pm. They’ll be bringing you a host of music performances of Christmas covers, film projections, a communal tree and lots of market stalls selling unique Christmas presents.
